Please send the resumes at pe...@cncconsulting.com Job Title: Java Developer Location: Denver, CO Duration: 2 Months *In person interview (Local candidates only)* This position is to support the Worker’s Compensation Modernization project within the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE). Performance Method Scope of Services The purpose of this contract position is to support CDLE in supporting Java development including analyzing, diagnosing, modifying, and writing new and existing Java code. The ideal candidate will have used these skills for a minimum of 3 years within the last 6 months. Experience with Adabas Natural is a plus. Also, the candidate must be experienced in SQL, and provide working solutions to the customer within the bounds of the existing Service Level Agreement (SLA). The SLA timeframes vary depending on the level of the incident. The candidate will be skilled in technical and programming skills utilizing Java, and can analyze and translate complex technical issues existing in this language into business language and vise versa. Experience with a database management system (SQLServer is preferred), software development, business analysis, and system architecture a plus. Professional level expertise in business process documentation is critical to project success and candidates should be prepared to submit a portfolio of previously documented work efforts for review. The candidate must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both technical and business environments. A minimum of 3 years is required. Experience in Workers Compensation systems is a plus, but not required. The selected candidate must have the ability to come up to speed on said processes quickly and understand the business behind this unit. Deliverables Key project deliverables include: Diagnose, remediate and document conversion activities. Advise, estimate, and possibly plan and design modernization plans of existing Java solutions. Work with various business units independently to understand existing workers compensation applications, and deliver working solutions in coordination with existing consulting firm and OIT staff.
