Location: Sacramento, CA Duration: 11 Months Project Scope/Tasks The scope of this project encompasses the following tasks: - Support client’s Corporate Database (CDB) applications and related components - Design, test and support the Enterprise Service Bus/Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) tier for A2A and B2B business services using Sun’s JCAPS 5.1.2 - Assist with the design, development, and enhancement of the middleware framework to support integration scenarios. - Document designs with sequence and class diagrams using UML - Develop and unit test Java business service components according to design specifications and development standards to support A2A and B2B integration scenarios. - Conduct evaluation and quality assurance on architecture frameworks, components, and services to be implemented - Provide architecture reviews for major application development and integration efforts - Evaluate and make the selection of software products and technology - Mentor state staff on Java development and deployment to support Middleware integration scenarios - Provide application integration support to application development efforts - Provide leadership in the area of design and code reviews; recommend changes and alternative solutions as appropriate - Attend project, staff, and management meetings as required. *Required Skills* - Experience designing and building complex distributed applications with an emphasis on enterprise application integration (EAI) and architecture - Experience in the design and development of shared architecture services - Experience in the development and implementation of architecture frameworks - Experience with JAVA and J2EE - Experience with Oracle RDBMS technologies - Experience with applications environment support - Experience with Sun Java CAPS - Experience in defining blueprints of relationships between business processes, systems, and data - Experience in identifying key technology strategies and approaches - Experience in identifying architecture requirements and standards - Must have experience in the following areas: JDBC, JMS, JNDI, JMX, Spring Framework, Struts Framework, XML, JSP, SOAP, JAX-RPC, UDDI, WSDL - Must have experience with the following (or comparable) tools: Eclipse 3.x IDE, ANT, Maven, JUnit, Oracle OC4J, WebLogic, Tomcat, Apache, Sun Java CAPS. - Experience with SOA Architecture, Management, Governance, and Security, preferably with SOA Software’s Service Manager, is desirable but not required.
