*Position: Sr. Cloud Platform Engineer* *Location: San Francisco, CA* *Duration: 6+ months*
Description The Role: The *Sr. Cloud Platform Engineer* is responsible for the design and development of features and solutions deployed for the Autodesk enterprise cloud. The role will involve researching, prototyping and developing technical solutions in addition to engineering responsibilities surrounding the overall platform itself. The position requires a strong background in virtualization and cloud technologies, networking, open source tools and scripting, a good knowledge of infrastructure and a solid understanding of leading IT technologies. You must be a self-starter who is passionate about the technology you are building, and eager to produce world-class services. You should enjoy a team environment where your success depends heavily on the success of your team and organization, and have an appetite and appreciation for highly disruptive projects that challenge the status quo. *Responsibilities:* • Understand current technology options and stay current with direction of existing platforms • Manage business relationships with key stakeholders (product, business and IT), understand their business problems, appetite for business risk and guide them on IT strategy and direction • Gather business and technical requires for initiatives related to the cloud platform domain • Create and recommend solution design options factoring in requirements, standards and current Infrastructure environment. Communicate and present solutions to the greater engineering organization. • Develop user focused solutions spanning multiple IT Infrastructure technologies • Provide expertise, input and troubleshooting support as the most senior level of technical escalation for IT infrastructure engineering and on-call operational teams. *Job Requirements:* • At least 7 years experience with enterprise or large scale physical & virtualization environments. • BA/BS degree, or equivalent. • 2yrs+ experience with cloud platforms such as *EC2, Azure, CloudStack, OpenStack*, etc. • Intermediate knowledge o*f VMWare vSphere or another hypervisor stack. * Ability to monitor, manage and troubleshoot both physical and virtual machines with native or third-party tools. • Advanced Linux skills • Good understanding of* SQL.* Ability to create *SQL script to manipulate DB objects* • Expert in one of the scripting languages: *Perl, Python, Powershell, Rubi etc.* • Experience with CI/CD platforms is a big plus Thanks, Sara IT Career City 302-721-5256 s...@itcareercity.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP BASIS" group.
