Position Title:-Oracle Projects Analyst Department:-Information Technology Location:-Coral Gables, FL Start Date:-Immediate Duration :- Long Term Job Description The Oracle Projects Analyst has overall responsibility for Client’s Oracle EBS Projects. Primary responsibilities include managing the functional operations of Oracle Applications 11i Financials, specializing in Project Costing, Billing and Project Management. Provide functional expertise within Oracle Application 11i. This is a hands-on functional position, technical expertise preferred. Its goals are to (a) work with Client’s business users to identify opportunities for improvement in the Projects area, assist in the functional implementation of Oracle Projects and monitor and document post-implementation problems and revision requests, (b) ensure that Client processes efficiently leverage Oracle system capabilities and (c) support end users needs. The Oracle Projects Analyst will participate in and manage all maintenance and support operational activities for Projects, as well as provide design and implementation support for any new projects within or impacting Oracle Projects. Responsibilities New Development/Project Management ·Consult with end-users to analyze and understand user needs, objectives, desired features, and input and output requirements. ·Understand what functionality is available as well as what has already been implemented. Advise on new solutions for enterprise business applications integration and functionality activation. Understand the impact a process change might have on the system and be able to guide process definitions accordingly. ·Create functional and technical documents (Business Requirements, Solution Design, Map and Gap Analysis, etc) ·Create work breakdown structures / project plans, prepare project status reports, assess risks, etc. ·Design and build interface programs to external system or other Oracle modules. ·Conduct solution review audits and control architecture and quality. Conduct and document rigorous quality assurance testing processes for all production deliverables (there is not a separate QA team). ·Aid in the customization and extension of Oracle when appropriate. Reporting & Queries ·Proficient in Oracle Projects data model. ·Work with users and development team to identify needs, build and modify reports/queries. Operational Management ·Test and validate patches/upgrades/new processes. ·Write user documentation for new applications. Develop training materials and deliver training to new users. Guide users in the implementation of business processes ·Provide both functional and technical Level Two support for Oracle Projects Modules. Provide end-user instruction and support to resolve application issues. Responsible for escalation procedures while retaining ownership of the issues. Manage Service Requests with Oracle Support. Human Resource Management ·Work with/manage work from onshore and offshore contractors. Relationship Management ·Responsible for developing good working relationships and two-way communication with Corporate and Field business personnel. Position Requirements Formal Education & Certification ·University degree in the field of computer science or information systems and 8 years related work experience. ·Certifications in Oracle, Project Management Institute, Six Sigma preferred. Knowledge and Experience ·8 years minimum direct experience with Oracle Projects modules, including both implementation and operations management. ·Deep functional and technical knowledge of Oracle Projects. Including but not limited to: o Project Billing: Billing configuration, Agreement types and templates, Project and task funding, Revenue calculation base on percent complete, invoice generation, revenue budgets. o Project Costing: Cost budgets, expenditure batches, labor and non- labor resource rates, burdening, transaction controls. ·Strong ability to analyze user requirements and build Oracle-based solutions. ·Proven track record of excellent quality assurance and data integrity. ·Construction or Supply Chain Industry experience a plus. Specific Technologies Proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL and SQL: ·Experience in creating programs using pl/sql. ·Create ad-hoc programs to troubleshoot and break-fix. Experience in Oracle Projects extensions Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Visio, Microsoft SharePoint, SQL. Personal Attributes ·Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail. ·Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. ·Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
