Job Description The Software Engineer applies the principles of software engineering to the design, development, testing, and evaluation of the software and systems that make the applications work. The Engineer will develop and maintain the programs using coded instruction in logical processes. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming using full lifecycle application development methodology Determines operational feasibility by evaluating software, performing code analysis, requirements analysis, software review, identification of code metrics, system risk analysis and software reliability analysis Develops and implements software services for use in a Service Oriented Architecture Performs software modeling and simulation Performs software testing and quality assurance Improves operations by performance tuning and recommending system improvements Integrates software with existing systems Evaluates and identify new technologies for implementation On Call rotation required Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
