Title :- Sr. Microsoft SharePoint Architect Location:- Chicago, IL Duration:- 3-6 Months Desired technical qualifications: Expertise in Microsoft SharePoint WSS/MOSS 2007 (InfoPath, Search, MySites, Workflow) is required. Proficiency in Jive Social Business Software and Confluence WIKI's is desired along with expertise in Lotus Domino, including prior experience in driving the transition from Lotus to Microsoft technologies. Working knowledge of key development and authentication technologies .NET, XML, Active Directory, SQL, Server 2003/2008. General knowledge of Data Security, IP networking, Desktop/Application Virtualization, Data Storage/Backup. Experience with costing models, technology roadmaps, architectural design documents and acceptance testing practices. Aptitude to learn new technologies and the ability to ramp up quickly on projects from a technical and process standpoint. Demonstrated ability to work in large environments, supporting a minimum of 500 servers and 5,000 users with geographic disbursement. Desired non-technical qualifications: B.S. degree in Computer Science or related discipline. 5-10 years of experience in collaboration, messaging, and/or unified communications. Excellent customer service, decision-making and analytical skills. Superior problem solving and conflict management skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to interact with senior management. Core team Responsibilities: Develop detailed design standards for use in collaboration projects and initiatives that are aligned with long-range strategies, business input and technology life cycles. Develop and manage design review process to ensure designs are in compliance with standards and long-term initiatives. Provide detailed engineering services and support for Global Technology Operations and other architectural teams. Follow industry trends and drive the research and review of new technologies, equipment and services. Work with vendors and internal teams to understand and incorporate new features and potential new products in the company infrastructure.
