Candidate must have all the skills required for this position. Title: Web Application Developer Location: Albany, NY Duration: 6 months The Web Application Developer will work as part of the development Team. The incumbent duties will include planning, designing, coding, implementing and documenting processes and functions in the web application. The incumbent will document application and reporting requirements, and work closely with the Informatics team to facilitate testing of the application. The incumbent will be responsible for designing, coding, and implementing a screening application that will help the customer determine the proper location to send the application. The application may use existing Web services to speed up development time. Once the initial screening application is complete, the developer will help finalize use cases for a larger application that will convert the "fill and print" PDFs into an interactive application. Specific tasks and requirements for the Web service Developer include: Design and code from requirements and functional specifications; Analyze, evaluate, test, debug, document, and implement web application. Work with the DOH ESB and UNIX System administration to ensure smooth and correct operations of the web services used by the application. Any other tasks necessary for completion of project deliverables and application support. Demonstrated strong hands-on experience with web service development in JEE environment, including XML/XSD, SOAP, WSDL, UDDI, JAX-WS, WS- Security and MTOM. Demonstrated experience with web technologies in a JEE environment, including Servlets, JSP, Java/J2EE, HTTP, HTML, XML, XSLT, SQL, PL/ SQL, JDBC/Hibernate, iBatis, RMI, and application servers (i.e. WebLogic). Experience with common web frameworks such as Struts and/or Spring. Experience with RDBM servers in general, preferably Oracle database servers. Ability to provide technical solutions for large scalable solutions. Experience in software design, development, and build tools, such as Ant, Subversion/CVS, Rational, SQL Developer, and Eclipse based IDEs. Able to communicate effectively with both technical and nontechnical personnel. Ability to communicate with programmatic units to translate business requirements into technical specifications. Excellent interpersonal skills, teamwork skills, written and verbal communication skills. VALUABLE ADVICE!
