*****Immediately Needed A Consultant***** Systems Analyst Location : Reston, VA Duration : 6+ months Contract Position Description: This position acts as a liaison between business and technology partners to produce technical system specifications, logical data models, capture metadata information, and bring resolution to production support issues. This position requires strong analytical and problem solving skills. It requires the ability to synthesize large amounts of moderately complex to complex data from multiple source systems to complete root cause analysis and discern potential processing and/or control issues. Prime Responsibilities/Duties: Use business, technology and application domain subject matter expertise to analyze and translate business requirements into technical system specifications and data specifications. Create and maintain use cases, site maps, navigation models, technical specifications, user interface specifications, screen mock-ups/wireframes, lender briefs, release notes, and other system documentation as required. Prepare and present different analysis artifacts for new features/enhancements to Business and Technology partners. Communicate clearly and precisely in business and technical terms. Perform detailed analysis of new features/enhancements in response to business policy changes, conduct impact analysis and specify functional and data changes required to meet new business requirements. Use business, technology and application domain subject matter expertise to identify impact of changes to cross-functional areas resulting in a more effective specification, minimized project risk, and efficient execution. Perform system research and analysis to assist in providing a complete resolution to production support issues. Candidate Requirements: A bachelor’s degree or equivalent required. Master or other advanced degree preferred. A minimum of five to seven years of progressively responsible experience in software development environment, preferably experience developing large-scale financial software. Successful candidate must have exceptional analytical and problem solving abilities. Candidate must have a keen understanding of Fannie Mae data and systems and a strong understanding of Investor Reporting and Operation processes. Successful candidate must be able to work independently and assume responsibility for major project deliverables with minimal to no supervision. Additionally, successful candidate must have the flexibility to handle multiple assignments at once. Candidate should understand relational databases and possess ability to write SQL queries to retrieve data from large complex databases. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential to the position. Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment are required. Candidate must have an understanding of the systems development lifecycle, including key roles in the life-cycle, critical activities, and required deliverables..
