*Position : Software Engineer, Core Java * *Location: Washington DC* *Duration: Long term* ** *Openings# : 1 *Duties: This key contributor will provide senior level software application development, testing, documentation, implementation, and maintenance for a large-scale web application. Other areas of activity may include development support for document databases, investigation of COTS software packages and toolkits. QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Education: BSCS, BSEE, or similar. MSCS or MSEE may be substituted for experience. Qualifications: 6-12 years of Java experience: knowledge and experience with Java in a JEE environment, Web Logic, JSP, HTML, XML, SQL Database (preferably Oracle) experience, and applicable open source tools.; PREFERRED SKILLS • Experience in developing web, business tier, or middleware applications in a fast paced environment while completing assignments across the entire range of application development. • Strong understanding of core java, design patterns and object oriented programming • Strong understanding of UNIX fundamentals, Ability to read, write and execute shell scripts • Strong understanding with open source projects such as Apache commons, IText for PDF manipulations • Strong understanding of XML Technologies such as using XSL for transformations, Use of XPATH, DTD,XSD, DOM,SAX • Excellent communication, analytical skills with ability to work independently under strict timelines • Experienced with the following technologies: *Java, J2EE, XML, SQL, Spring, Hibernate, JDBC, ESB, XML Beans, Web Services, SOA, LDAP, Security, SSO, JUnit, Web Services, eclipse, Maven, Eclipse, Oracle *• Familiar with Search Engine like FAST ESP or open source Lucene. • Familiar with web content management like and publishing application.
