Title : ASP.NET Developer Location : Fairfield CT Duration : long term RESPONSIBILITIES -Design & implement WCF and WPF based application -Write technical specifications -Be the liaison between onshore and offshore .NET development teams -Be a team player and work in conjunction with the Tech lead for the project in identifying and solving issues -Work with Software Quality Assurance (SQA) and Integration teams to validate the correct implementation of systems and applications. -Interact with project management, other engineering teams, and other stakeholders as appropriate. EXPERIENCE/SKILLS: Required: -At least 6 years experience working as a senior software engineer. -Experience working with offshore development. -Strong knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and SQA/SCM (Software Configuration Management) tools. -Experience working with SQA to develop tests and plan remediation. -Demonstrated ability to produce functional and design specifications with minimal supervision, and attend meetings answering technical questions regarding specifications. -Demonstrated experience with OOA/D/P, UML, design patterns, frameworks, and tools. -Demonstrated experience developing applications and WCF and WPF in C# -Demonstrated experience developing software using Test Driven Development and Unit Tests -In depth understanding of all forms of Interprocess communication, WINSOCK programming and multi-threading -Excellent communication skills (including presentation,verbal, and writing). -Demonstrated ability to work with other tech leads and teams to resolve problems. -Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter and require minimal supervision. -Experience in high-performance application development. -Experience building distributed and highly available solutions using message/event driven systems. -Fluency in XML. Desired: -Experience developing communications-based Windows applications (e.g. soft phone) -Prior experience in developing applications for Windows platform COM and Windows based programming -Prior experience developing Rich User interface for Web applications using FLEX / Silverlight -Real-time application development for Windows -Experience in IP and networking protocols and architectures.
