Good morning, Please find the direct client requirement below. * * Position: Network Engineer Location: Columbia, SC Duration: 6 Months Rate: Open *Job Description:* · Under limited supervision reporting to the South Carolina Business One Stop (SCBOS) Program Manager, serves as a senior network engineer for support and maintenance on the four (4) production environments at SCBOS and the partner environments that are configured with VMware, Windows Server 2003/2008, a .Net solution and highly available and redundant components. · There are 2 physical sites: one production and one Disaster Recovery.* * * * *Skills Required:* · At least 5 years experience in Information Technology. · Experience with Active Directory administration. · Experience with Windows 2008 R2. · Expert knowledge of networking, firewalls, configurations, and routing. · Experienced in implementing and supporting Disaster Recoverysites. · Hands-on technical knowledge of network and server operating systems. · Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and Internet standards, including TCP/IP, and DNS, DHCP. · Experience in monitoring infrastructure systems for Windows environments. · Ability to craft proactive and automated scripts and tools. · Windows 2003/2008. · Active Directory management. · Experience with Virtual Environments, Knowledge of VM operation, strengths, and weaknesses. · *Extensive working knowledge of Internet protocols, tools and techniques including but not limited to: * 1) Internet Information Server, 2) Server operating systems installation and configuration, 3) Internet security, 4) Virtual Private Networking (VPN), 5) TCP/IP, Local Area Networks (LAN), 6) Wide Area Networks (WAN), · Dell Equipment, Dell SANS, SANs. · Experience with VMware ESX administration. · Experience in developing and maintaining documentation for policies, procedures, and best practices. · Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills a must. · Able to conduct research into infrastructure issues and products as required. · Leading effective team meetings. · Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language. · Highly self motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail. · Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. · Experienced hardware troubleshooting. · Able to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment. · Strong customer service orientation. · Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. *· * The ability to lift and transport moderately heavy objects up to 50 lbs, such as servers and peripherals * *** * * *Highly Preferred:* · Current industry certifications for Microsoft and Cisco. · Experience and working knowledge of backup products and methodologies. · Support of web-based applications for internal (intranet) sites and external (Internet) sites. · Knowledge of software development lifecycles and migrations from different environments, such as development, production, etc… *Summary:* · Under limited supervision reporting to the South Carolina Business One Stop (SCBOS) Program Manager, serves as a senior network engineer for support and maintenance on the four (4) production environments at SCBOS and the partner environments that are configured with VMware, Windows Server 2003/2008, a .Net solution and highly available and redundant components. · *There are 2 physical sites:* one production and one Disaster Recovery.
