They are looking for someone, not only to be a director, but who has
experience as a developer as well.
Someone with progressive leadership experience in an Applications Management
role with a strong technology emphasis
*Duties & Responsibilities *
Develop new systems functionality, regression testing and integration
of the changes into the production environment.
Responsible for managing, upgrading, configuring, troubleshooting and
tuning all business and customer facing applications.
Responsible for high quality delivery on time and on budget.
Develop relationships with internal functional areas and conduct
regular requirement gathering, applications functionality review and project
updates for customer facing systems.
Ensure proactive solicitation, gathering and tracking of all
application system changes and enhancements that drive value to the
business. Assist internal clients with the prioritization and acceptance
testing of all application initiatives ensuring delivery quality.
Develop requirements documentation used to develop application
functionality. Corroborate and receive scope acceptance from internal
clients to ensure accuracy in product delivery.
Provide enhancements and support for enterprise level applications.
Collaborate with Business Analysts on functional documents ensuring
high quality and timely delivery.
Ensure changes and upgrades to business applications are tested and
pass unit, integration and system testing standards.
Facilitate and coordinate user acceptance testing to ensure
acceptance and ownership of changes.
Perform stress testing to identify scalability, volume limitations
and failure points.
Provide direction in the physical and logical design, installation
and configuration of database and applications.
Ensure data integrity, monitoring, capacity planning and tuning of
database for high performance.
Provide upgrades and patching to third party applications,
collaborating with team members to test new and existing application
functionality before deployment to production.
*Skills & Abilities*
Strong hands-on experience with Oracle E-Business Suite, PL/SQL,
Oracle JDeveloper Studio, OBIEE UNIX and Oracle Database administration.
Ability to understand the impact, risks, implications and cost of
recommendations.
Strong working knowledge of Web development, SQL*Server and the .Net
framework a plus.
Working knowledge of Essbase, Hyperion, Informatica and OBIEE
desirable.
Strong working knowledge of Visio, MS Project, MS Office and
configuration
management / version control tools.
Must possess strong estimation skills.
Strong leadership, project management, collaboration, technical, team
and communication skills essential.
*Experience & Education*
Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science or
related field.
10+ years progressive leadership experience in an Applications
Management role with a strong technology emphasis.
