Title: Functional Tester Location: Rockville, MD Duration: 1 Year Rate: $34/hr Start Date: September 1, 2010 Position Title Systems Test Engineer Daily Responsibilities 1. Define test strategy, test plan and create/maintain test cases to follow the best practices and standards in improving quality of released software. 2. Work with business analysts to create Requirements Traceability Matrix 3. Develop smoke test scripts, functional test scripts, regression test scripts, load test scripts. 4. May also require writing functional regression automation test scripts. 5. May also be running automated test tools and performing analysis of results. 6. Identify/Prepare Test Data for all test scenarios 7. Conduct and track results of smoke, functional, integration, performance and regression testing as needed 8. Produce appropriate specifications and support documentation Required: Years of experience (min) 3-5 Required: Degree Bachelors Required: Skills - 2+ years of testing experience in full software development lifecycle - 2+ years of experience in creating/automating test scripts that provide the flexibility to meet the needs of changing software requirements - 2+ years of web application testing and Java application testing - Experience with automated test tool software and test plan management software specifically Quality Center, Quick Test Professional (QTP), Winrunner/Loadrunner. - Experience with 508 compliance testing is a plus - Database and Unix experience - Oracle preferred - SQL programming skill is a MUST - Software development background with the general understanding of software development methodologies - Superior problem solving skills, proven team player, and ability to multi-task Duration 12 months Desired: Degree Bachelors Desired: Skills -Experience with Eclipse IDE, AJAX, Business Process Modeling (BPM) systems and/or Oracle Application Server Desired: Subject Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent VALUABLE ADVICE!
