Please send me matching profiles with rate, availability and contact details to sunil.ima...@italentinc.com or reach me @732-579-6250 Unix Administrator Location – Malvern, PA Duration – 1 year *Interview Process* –Telephonic, followed by in person / Web cam *Position Description* UNIX System Administrator in a 24 x 7 environment 1. 3 * 5 years (or more) extensive systems administration experience with UNIX/Solaris, including file systems and disks, system directory structures, clusters, hardware devices, UNIX startup and shutdown, user accounts, security, managing system resources, backup and restore, terminals and printers, TCP/IP, installation and maintenance, product administration, vendor management, and performance analysis. 2. A solid working knowledge of UNIX/Solaris hardware and software technologies, including system kernel parameters, system installation and configuration, software distribution, printing systems, and native and 3rd-party software installation. 3. A good working knowledge of network technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, Web Load Balancing), including fundamental networking/distributed computing environment concepts; NFS configuration, NSLookUp, snoop, dig, traceroute, netstat, etc. 4. A good working knowledge of operating system, paging and swapping, inter-process communications, devices and device drivers, file system concepts; and hardware components, such as channel controllers, disk drives, communications cards (e.g. NIC) *Technical Skills* 1. Solaris 10, Veritas Volume Manager, Solaris Volume Manager, Sun Cluster, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, WebSphere Application Server 6.1, Oracle 10g (including CRS, ASM and OEM), DB2Connect, MQSeries, Tivoli, Wily and Sitescope 2. A good working knowledge of network and UNIX security procedures including (SSL, KERBEROS, DCE, firewalls, intrusion detection). 3. 3 * 5 years (or more) extensive administration experience with distributed database systems, especially Oracle and Sybase, including SQL, file systems and disks, database structures, hardware devices, startup and shutdown, user accounts, security, managing database resources, backup and restore, and performance analysis and tuning. 4. UNIX korn shell scripting knowledge extremely beneficial (Perl, sed/awk helpful, as well). 5.
