This person should have solid performance tuning skills in a production systems
environment. Must be Teradata certified. Must be able to identify
problems/bottlenecks, provide solutions and perform root cause analysis.
Required skills:
Performance tuning of problem queries (ETL, BI).
Planning and executing Teradata systems migration and related activities.
Developing complex SQLs for business requirements of ETL and BI.
Guide developers in trouble shooting for Teradata ETL utilities like fastload,
fastexport, multiload, bteq.
Interacting with Teradata tech support.
Teradata ETL utilities like fastload, fastexport, multiload, bteq.
Developing stored procedures and macros.
Performance tuning of SQLs, analyzing explain plans, stats collections.
Physical modeling (Table Design, Partitioning, indexing etc).
Developing complex SQLs for business requirements.
Analyzing tables for compression, developing scripts and procedures to
automatically generate compression ddls.

I am searching for a Developer to add to our Mortgage Analytics team. Our
Analytics team develops and enhances applications used by Fixed Income
Portfolio Management. You'll assist in the design, construction and enhancement
of PIMCO front-end applications used in the ABS/MBS PM group. In addition,
you'll participate in technology development activities for our custom and
package products.
Qualified candidates must possess a four-year college degree with a preferred
major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other technical/IT degree.
A strong understanding with C#, Silverlight ASP.NET is absolutely required, and
you'll be required to take a C# competency test during the interview process.
Five year's of experience within the software development field is preferred;
Python, SQL Sybase, JAVA, C++, and UNIX skills are also preferred. Our selected
individual must be a team player, be self-motivated, and have excellent verbal
communication skills. In addition, the ability to manage projects and work
within a team environment will be critical to being successful in this role.
Qualifications
a.. 5+ years C# .NET, ASP.NET recent experience is required.
b.. 1-2 years of Silverlight required
c.. BS degree in Computer Science or Math
d.. Excellent English communications skills, verbal and written
e.. Willingness to work hard, including occasional nights and weekends when
circumstances dictate.

- Support data extraction, cleansing, aggregation, reorganization,
transformation, and load operations.
- Access data from multiple operational data sources, re-map source data into a
common format, Filter data, calculate derived values, aggregates, load cleanse
data to the central DW.
- Extensive use of Informatica 8.5.1 and ETL performance tuning.
- Error Handling: Handle Informatica Mappings & sessions and through Validation
Scripts of BTEQ in Teradata 6.2
- Business Requirements gathering and Analysis.
- Data Analysis of Source to Target Mapping.
- Design and develop the ETL frame work and processes using Informatica 8.5.1,
to run on the Domain, Integration Services and Nodes, on a Highly Available
Grid ETL Infrastructure.

- Responsible for Informatica ETL Development.
- Responsible for Monitoring batch execution job schedules
- Provide technical expertise in all aspects of administrative data processing.
- Develop ETL mapping using various transformation
- Work in Teradata performance tuning
- Set standards and guidelines for QA and help system testing activities to
ensure that systems fulfill design requirements.
- Responsible for Unit, Integration, Performance and System Testing of ETL
environment and raising the defects in QC tool.
