Role: SQL Server DBA/Architect Duration: 3-6 months Location: Chicago, IL Rate: Market *Description:* * * We undertaken a new business intelligence corporative initiative and require expert level assistance. The candidate would architect, design, develop, create, install, modify, and maintain SQL databases and data warehouses and cubes resident in support of this Business Intelligence initiative. As this is new functionality and technology, we require a motivated self-starter with the ability to extract detailed requirements from our staff of subject matter experts and deliverable designers. In addition, duties include design, develop, maintain, and execute mass change/load procedures and extract-transform-load activities as required by the various applications and Analysis Services implementations to assure timely and accurate data is available for business intelligence measurements. ETL processes will utilize SSIS and SQL stored procedures. A key attribute for the desired candidate is the ability to unit test and troubleshoot independently prior to delivery to end users. This would include best effort at building suggested indexes by running independent queries to judge performance as well as to verify accurate table structures, joins, and data load activities. *Technical skills:* -Expert level Data Warehouse/cube architect and developer. -Thorough knowledge of SQL Server 2008 and MS SQL Analysis Services. -SQL database administration knowledge of MS/SQL Server in a LAN/WAN environment. -Change management exposure required – experience with Team Foundation Server a plus. -WebFocus reporting experience a plus. -Any Business Intelligence experience this might extend this project. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP BASIS" group.
