Data warehouse Specialist / Lead Southfield, Michigan Start Date: 10/4/2010 End Date: 12/31/2010 (+ Extensions) *Requirements: * 1) Strong logical data modeling skills 2) OLTP and DW/OLAP type systems 3) Experience with physical implementation a plus 4) Prior hands-on experience with implementing OLTP/DW/Analytic solutions 5) ETL Reports and OLAP/data mining type analysis (any experience would be desirable) 6) Hands on experience with modern paradigms, relational Databases, reporting/BI platforms 7) Oracle/SQL Server, COGNOS, Informatica will be a plus 8) 5-10 years experience in the industry, last several implementing data side of OLTP/DW/Analytic solutions, at least a handful of such projects. 9) Understands layers of SW architecture, particular strength in the data layer (ability to get hands on with layers other than data is a big plus) 10) Strong computer science fundamentals. Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent) is preferred 11) Knowledge of architecture and design patterns and the ability to apply them Ability to work in an agile environment, has done iterative software development. 12) Ability to assume various responsibilities, 13) Can independently drive things to completion from requirements to working software, 14) Don't require constant supervision, (motivated self-starters). 15) Strong analytical and problem solving skills 16) Ability to conceptualize and articulate ideas clearly and concisely.
