The SCADA is a distributed computing environment using local and wide area networks to interconnect the system components. Telvent Automation, our client SCADA Replacement Contract vendor has selected a Microsoft-based software solution running on Dell hardware. The component systems will consist of servers running Windows 2000 and workstations running Windows XP. SCADA Application development is accomplished using the Microsoft Net tool set. Since June 2003 the our client has utilized contract services to perform many development tasks including populating a real-time database with information presently located in *Oracle databases; exporting/importing MS SQL database information to Oracle, MS Access, MS Excel;** *and developing custom applications code that interacts with data in the real-time database using Visual Basic. * * Job Responsibility:** * * Being a Senior SCADA Database Administrator need to perform required enhancements to *design, develop, test and integrate* a set of custom applications and development of new applications in the production framework of the existing Telvent System. Scope of Work:** Must provide the design, development, test, and integration of a set of Custom Applications to be delivered in the production framework of the existing Telvent System. Additional services to be provided will include development design and requirement documents for future applications; and transfer of Technology to the District’s SCADA SCADA Analysis staff. Skills & Experience Required:** * * § Database support for the District’s upgrade of the *Telvent OASyS DNA*system from *version 7.4 to 7.5*. § Updating applications to conform to the new *OASyS database schema*. § Verifying database data and improving the SCADA system process of analyzing the various Environmental Monitoring parameters (Surface water, Ground water, Weather, Water Quality and Embankment). § Verifying that required information is received as across all applicable systems. § Reviewing the flow monitoring data validity using the permit operational plans. § Coordinating with *Project Managers for Project Planning, Project Initiation* and corresponding technical studies. § Preparing reports as required for project management purposes.
