Again, there are no phone interviews – one face-to-face, in Dallas, within 48 hours of an interview being requested. Below is the job order and please review before sending me a candidate. JOB DESCRIPTION • Strong Coding Experience in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, C • Strong technical hands on experience in creating and maintaining database objects like tables, views, materialized views, indexes, sequences, synonyms and database links • Well experienced in data warehouse, data migration and other data conversion • Strong technical hands on experience in Oracle 10g/9i/8i databases • Proficient in Oracle utilities and tools like SQL*loader, Export/ Import, TOAD 8.0/8.5/9.0, SQL*plus, iSQL*plus, SQL Developer, PL/SQL Developer, SQL Navigator • Extensive experience in developing stored procedures, functions, packages, views, cursors, collections (nested tables and varrays), records, object types and database triggers • Extensive experience in developing UNIX Shell Scripts • Extensive experience in Performance Tuning of SQL queries & Views using Explain Plan, SQL Trace & TKPROF utilities • Has good experience in designing Logical and Physical data models for different database applications • Has profound experience in interacting with business analysts and developers to analyze the user requirements, functional specifications and system specifications • Working knowledge of DB2 SAMPLE CANDIDATE SUMMARY Fred has 9+ years of IT experience, all of which has been focused on Oracle RDBMS development in versions 7.3, 8i, 9i and 10g. He has performed PL/SQL development at major companies such as Citibank, Wells Fargo, Microsoft, the London Stock Exchange, and Hartford Life, to name a few. Thus, the bulk of his industry experience has been spent in the banking and securities space. Fred is Brainbench Certified in, Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle Developer 2000 and RDBMS Concepts and his Oracle PL/SQL development expertise covers the entire spectrum including, but not limited to, * Data Warehousing and Data Marts [i.e. he has expertise with Star Schemas, Facts, Dimensions, Measures, Slowly Changing Dimension (SCD) Types 1, 2 and 3]; * Data Migration and Conversion using, for example, SQL Loader, SQL*Plus, SQL, UNIX shell scripts, UNIX Job Scheduler, KSH, Perl, Crontab, etc.; * Oracle utilities including TOAD, Export/Import, SQL Developer, PL/ SQL Developer, etc. * Performance tuning and optimization using Oracle Tuning Pack, Statspack, TKPROF, Explain Plan, SQL Trace, Hints, High Water Mark (HWM), row-chaining, AWR, ADDM, DBMS_SQLTUNE, DBMS_ADVISOR, etc. * The creation and management of Tables, Views, Materialized Views, Synonyms, Indexes, Sequences and DB Links * Oracle database security. e.g. DBMS_OBFUSCATION_TOOLKIT, DBMS_CRYPTO * Logical & Physical data modeling using Erwin and Visio * Heavy back-end development using, complex Stored Procedures, Triggers, Functions Packages, Nested Tables (MULTISET UNION, Intersect, SUBMULTISET), VARRAYS, Views, Materialized Views (using Complete, Fast and Force Refresh), Database Links, Partitions, Indexes, Synonyms, Dynamic SQL, Merge using ORACLE SQL and PL/SQL, etc. Note also that Fred also has experience with DB2 and SQL Server RDBMS when performing data migration/conversion of data from the aforementioned RDBMS' to Oracle.
