The position has been identified as client is launching a new project in
North Carolina, essentially client is looking to replace the core mortgage
technologies within the bank. The purpose of having a Project Manager will
be to over-see the project from beginning to end (starting with assessment
phase and ending at implementation phase).

The Manager is looking to find a Business Project Manager and not an IT PM
however; the Business PM will need to have knowledge and experience with
identifying and understanding technology issues. Note, there will be an IT
PM on the project who will support this Sr. PM role.

subject matter expertise required:
-candidates with mortgage vendor assessment work would be ideal
-candidate who have worked on the mortgage line
-experience with mortgage systems
-lending experience/knowledge

The challenge will be to find a balance between a great Business PM with
familiarity and understanding of the IT aspect of the role. Keep in mind
there will be an IT PM who will support the Sr. Business PM.

Position Purpose: An client Project Manager will manage the day-to-day
operations of projects within any functional business group, including
resource, time and cost management.
This position will develop strategies, implement long-term goals of the
organization, and have accountability to ensure projects are delivered on
time, within budget, and meet partner expectations.
Typical scope would likely involve leading multiple individual projects or
one large project. Significant independent judgment is used with minimal
direction given by supervisor. May lead/supervise lower level Project
Managers.
Key Competencies:
- Promotes collaborative team work, innovativeness and instills best
practices into the working style of the team
- Manage program/project portfolio and service cross-functional
transformation initiatives such as Lean Six Sigma and Global Resourcing
projects, and monitor the quality of milestone artifacts,
project and program reporting, and project governance
- Ensure initiatives are managed in accordance with the client
Program/Project Management Framework (PMF and LPgMF).
- Provide Program Manager with visibility into project progress, while
supporting effective decision-making, approvals, and direction
- Provide value-added Project Management mentoring to team members to
support successful project delivery
(i.e. Project Management methodologies, job aides, and best practices
training)
Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, a related discipline, or
equivalent education/experience (Required)
- *Advanced degree (Preferred)
- PMP certification (Preferred)*
- *6-9 years project management experience (Required)*
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (Required)
- Expert knowledge of business and management principles involved in
strategic planning, resource allocation, and change management (Required)
- Advanced ability to develop project plans, manage individual deadlines and
goals (Required)
- Advanced knowledge of project metrics, including gathering, reporting,
trend analysis, creation, and metrics (Required)
- Expert user proficiency with computer applications, such as Microsoft
Office Suite, MS Project and any other related financial software (Required)
- Expert knowledge of economic and accounting principles, the financial
markets, and reporting of financial data (Required)
- Expert knowledge of risk assessment (including cost/benefit analysis) and
quantification methodologies (Required)
- Expert ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and
expenses (Required)
- Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies (Preferred)
- Knowledge of project management framework/processes (Preferred)
