*****Immediately Needed A Consultant***** Interface/User Designer Location : Newark, NJ Duration : 6+Months Contract Description : Candidate will prototype detailed and intuitive user interface designs for internal applications by exploring new concepts and incorporating end-user feedback. She or he will prototype creative new solutions by extending our existing platform, company, and industry standards, apply an inventive and intuitive look and feel to all color schemes, branding, iconography, task flow, interactions and navigations, create human friendly navigation tools that reflect our Law and Compliance business workflows and operations and work within a supportive, collaborative culture focused on innovation, working with project managers, sales teams and technology staff in a fast paced environment. Job Requirements: 2+ years experience with creating professional/ public websites, including internships/ freelance experiences. A keen aesthetic, fanatical attention to detail and the ability to distill simple solutions from complex problems. Ability to code in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. A solid understanding of the DOM. Experience using Dreamweaver and Photoshop. Strongly preferred: Familiarity with ASP.NET, and C#, PHP, jQuery. Experience with Visual Studio, Flash, and InDesign. Bachelors degree in Design (Graphic, Industrial). **Portfolio of prior work is required** Project Information The first phase is `Intranet 2.0,`which upgrades the current site to an improved web content publishing platform with some interactivity (polls, ability to post comments, external information feeds via RSS, links to MediaSite videos, etc.). The second phase is `Web 2.0,` where we bring in social media features such as user and group-generated content, experts’ directory, better information sharing and integration with the document management system.
