The Manager did not think ANY of the Candidates were SENIOR and STRONG
enough.
Feedback from the Manager is that Candidates MUST HAVE SQL experience as
well.
Data Warehousing is a BIG PLUS.
Manager has increased the amount of experience required to 8+ years, and
DOES NOT WANT TO SEE ANY REPEATS.
Hiring Manager is a DBA by training/experience prior to CIT Management Role
~ he has HIGH standards for skills.

**Looking for a SENIOR Functional DBA – (not so much a development DBA, but
any applications experience is a PLUS)
*Versions of Oracle v.10 and above
*MUST HAVE SQL experience as well.
*PL/SQL (a plus)
*Data Warehousing experience VERY HELPFUL
*The Data Warehouse is constantly new / building/growing, so someone who can
promote new code into production is a BIG PLUS
*Previous experience on a Unix / Linux Environment ~ Required

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
Database Administrator will have primary responsibility for one or more
database implementations.  This includes monitoring, performance-tuning,
backup and recovery, upgrades, establishing user access controls, database
security, defining new/modified database tables, device configuration, and
capacity planning.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Application database monitoring and control.
Backup server management and monitoring.
Performs the capacity planning required to create and maintain the
databases
Server release management and upgrades.
Performs ongoing performance analysis, tuning and optimization
Implements backup and recovery plans for both hot and cold backups of
databases.
Implements and enforces security for all of the databases, users, and
objects.
Performs database re-organization as required to assist performance and
ensure maximum uptime of the database.
Enforces and maintains database constraints to ensure integrity of the
database.
Administers all database objects, including tables, clusters, indexes,
views, sequences, packages and procedures and other database objects.
Assists with impact analysis of any changes made to the database objects.
Provides support for application automated processes.
Regular server and database maintenance.
Trigger and stored procedure change control
New application database implementations.
Work with Production Support Teams.**
