*Java Caps Architect* Location: Chicago Duration: 6 Plus Months We have an immediate need for a Senior Java CAPS architect. This position is primarily a Java CAPS infrastructure expert – not a Java CAPS application developer. This person will help meet various Java CAPS engineering needs, including but not limited to: • Install and configure Java CAPS Version 5.1.3 on Solaris 10 • Execute Java CAPS load testing and identify performance bottlenecks • Recommend and implement Java CAPS infrastructure and application performance tuning • Troubleshooting complex Java CAPS related issues • Provide Java CAPS infrastructure support for multiple critical, high-volume application development, testing, and go-live activities This assignment lasts about 6 months. In addition to general Java CAPS engineering requirements, this position requires following skills/experiences: 1. Design, installation, and configuration of Java CAPS 5.1.3 infrastructure on Solaris 10 2. Deep experience in Java CAPS 5.1.3 performance tuning 3. Deep experience in Java CAPS 5.1.3 performance/load test execution, monitoring, and analysis 4. Deep experience in Java CAPS 5.1.3 High-Availability, Code Deployment, System Monitoring, Disaster Recovery Testing 5. Deep understanding of JMS messaging (preferably with IBM MQ) 6. Monitoring of Java CAPS (preferably using Wily Intro Scope) 7.
