*Job Description:*

The company is hiring a Cognos developer to come in and build new reports
for them. They have a supply chain management system (called Ideal Food
Cost). This system is what the franchise stores use to order their food.
Only 70% of the stores currently use this system and leadership is wanting
all of the stores to use this system. They are going to bring in a Cognos
developer to come in and build 4-6 reports that give them data on this
system. Candidates will be responsible for: gathering requirements,
analyzing/looking at existing data sets, designing/architecting the reports
and building them out.



They do work in an agile environment so they meet every morning to discuss
the daily tasks and have 2 week deliverables. Candidates must be able to
function well in a team environment, they must be able to communicate with
users and must be able to self manage. They do not have time to give someone
direction so they want someone who is going to be able to determine which
projects have the most ROI, set expectations with the customer and focus on
the projects that are most important. They also need to have the ability to
assess the political landscape and come up to speed quickly. We need a
consultant for this position!



The company is a Fortune 3000 company. They have a very unique environment.
Their corporate headquarters is located in downtown OKC, on the canal and
across the street from the bricktown ballpark. They build the facility a few
years ago so it is fairly new. The environment is very open and colorful.
For example, their CIO and other leadership sit in cubes with everyone else.
It is also a fun environment. If you have ever seen the commercials or have
looked at their website, that will give you a good idea of the company
culture.



*Additional Job Description: *They will primarily work independently but
they will interface with other IT staff when necessary. **



*Top 3 skill sets:*

   1. 7+ years of experience gathering requirements and analyze data. THIS
   PERSON MUST HAVE GOOD BUSINESS ACUMEN.
   2. 5+ years of building Cognos Reports using Reports Studio. Including
   experience working with Complex Reports (please ask them how many query
   subjects are in the reports they are writing. Have they done Drill
   through’s, dashboards, bursting reports?)
   3. Experience working with Cognos Framework Manager
   4. 3+ years of SQL experience (writing queries, know how to navigate a
   database, etc.)



Other SKills

* 5+ years of consulting experience

* They must have experience working with

* Experience creating cubes (with Transformer)

* Understanding the DW lifecycle (documentation, training, support,
analysis, requirements gathering)

* Experience working in an agile environment or knowledge of Agile and a
good attitude towards

* Experience working with any of the following: Powerplay, Crystal Reports,
Proclarity experience, Informatica Powercenter, D series, SQL Server
Analysis Services (SSAS), knowledge of any additional reporting tools,
Hyperion, experience working with reporting financials

part of the project so they need someone to start by gathering requirements
and build the reports.
