Short Description:
The Database Administrator is responsible for data analysis & database
management.
Database Administrators typically are involved in maintenance, enhancement,
designing of data dictionaries, physical & logical database models, &
performance tuning.
Complete Description: The Database Administrator (DBA) will be required to
review the proposed database design and make design recommendations for
efficiency and maintenance. Working with the Database Programmer the DBA
will build and load the new database, design schemas, and views to support
the maintenance, querying and reporting functions of the database. The DBA
may also be required to develop some cubes to provide simplified querying
and extracts for the database users. The DBA should be willing to write
additional queries, DTS packages, and work with both the Database Programmer
and the users to fulfill additional requirements as they arise. The DBA will
be required to train the staff on the use and maintenance of the database
and provide an orderly turnover of database responsibilities.
Education: 4 year college degree or equivalent technical study

Experience in SQL Server 2008 R2 Highly desired 0
Eesigned, developed, loaded and implemented 1 or more SQL databases
Required 0
Experience in developing and implementing SQL database security Required

Experience with SSIS/DTS and SSRS Required 3 Years
Experience in database backup and recovery procedures Required 5 Years
Experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting Required 5 Years
