Job Description and Scope: * The SAP Business Intelligence (BI) Visual Composer (VC) Developer’s primary responsibility for this role is the development of Visual Composer dashboard reports. This will include performing requirements gathering and data modeling, BEx query design and development, working with other BW developers on any necessary changes to the BW environment, working with the Portal team on the deployment of the dashboards, supporting the development migration procedures, and addressing production break/fix issues with respect to the dashboard reports and any development objects that are related. The consultant will work with technical staff to ensure that the designs are developed with proper methodologies and techniques, in addition to performing troubleshooting of technical issues. The consultant shall mentor District staff and be responsible for knowledge transfer. The primary job responsibilities entail: § Designing, developing and supporting dashboard reports that are based on data in the SFWMD Business Warehouse system. § Developing and supporting forms in the SAP Integrated Planning application Public Budget Formulation, where Visual Composer (VC) skills are required (actual PBF experience is a plus). § Creating reporting solutions using various toolsets such as Business Explorer Analyzer and Visual Composer. § Documenting applicable development processes and procedures in the assigned areas. § Developing detailed functional and technical specifications for new development objects. § Performing unit testing, creating test scripts and participating in integration testing with appropriate end-user and technical groups. § Identifying, analyzing, assigning and/or completing assigned problem tickets. § Making reasonable efforts to ensure system availability is at or above committed service levels. § Assisting teams on other projects in order to ensure successful integration of SAP and non-SAP functionality. § Providing Level 2 SAP Solution Center support. The SAP BI VC Contractor will be given or will need to gather requirements and is expected to perform the BEx and Visual Composer development required to support the solution. The candidate will be required to code and test dashboard reports and forms that meet all the design specifications, maintain and repair development objects to keep them performing in accordance with technical and functional specifications, and work in both the SAP and the Business Warehouse environments. Additional responsibilities include: § Work with other BI Developers, SAP Portal Administrators, Query Designers, and Visual Composer Developers on projects and support activities § Provide post-implementation support for current and ongoing projects § Handle calls from end users § Interface between SAP and end users § Solve application problems that cannot be handled by the Help Desk § Examine problems to determine whether they are caused by a software defect § Test, modify, and document the system configuration § Participate in or facilitate business process definition and modeling § Configure the software to replicate the required business processes and analytical/reporting needs § Facilitate knowledge transfer to other project team members § Performing Production activities as needed § Performing PBF project support as needed using VC skills. The SAP BI VC contractor will not be assigned any duties outside of this scope of work without written consent of both the District and the contractor’s firm. *2. Specific Deliverables* * * The deliverables for this position include the following: 1. Documentation for all designs and technical specifications, 2. Documentation of all issues related to process design and implementation in the SAP BI area. 3. Configured, developed and tested SAP BI functionality as required for production support, dashboard reporting, and PBF Project Support. 4. Weekly timesheets with attached status reports that list and describe weekly accomplishments, list of upcoming tasks, plus the status of any deliverables. By signing the weekly timesheets, the District’s SAP Solutions Center (SSC) director accepts and agrees with the week’s work effort and deliverables. In case of a dispute, the SSC director will inform the contractor’s firm in writing, within 2 days of receiving the timesheet, of the reason for rejecting the timesheet. One week after the timesheet is presented, if the District does not accept or reject the timesheet it will be considered accepted. *3. Job Qualifications* The consultant must possess the following skills and abilities: § Must have experience with Visual Composer 7.0 or Visual Composer CE 7.1 for dashboard reporting. § Must have experience with BW query design and development using BEx Analyzer. § Experience with form development using Visual Composer CE 7.1 is highly desired. § Experience with SAP’s Public Budget Formulation (PBF) planning module is highly desired. § Must be familiar with SAP-BI terminology, structure and functionality. § Excellent written and verbal communicative skills are required. § SAP Certification in BW is highly desired. * * *4.
