May be in future we can get in touch. * **Position : AS400 Administrator with Orion Vision replication* *Location : Los Angeles, CA* *Duration : 6 Months* * * *Job Description:* · Responsible for day to day operations involving monitoring Queues, health checks, remote administration of systems in a production environment. · Performing day to day admin activities like managing Tape drives, managing system hardware and system performance. · Checking the Object and DB errors in MIMIX or any other High availability product and managing it. · Using IBM job schedulers for starting and monitoring various scheduled jobs as a part of operations team. · Checking the status of backups, investigating the error if it fails and rerunning the backups. · Quick response to the problems to meet the SLA and real time monitoring of servers and troubleshooting day to day issues. · Knowledge of AS400 LPAR production support environment and HMC · Knowledge of AS/400 User profile creation and their management. · Knowledge of varied technologies/Operating systems/ and administrations skills. Process oriented approach and logical analysis is a key skill. · PTF Management. Installing and applying PTFs(individual, hiper, cumulative, group PTFs). · Managing backups and Restoration based on client requests – daily, weekly and monthly backups using BRMS tool and OS/400 · Job administration – Batch scheduling, changing job attributes, checking job logs, reactive and dependent jobs · Knowledge of work Management like Subsystem , Job queues , jobs (Interactive and Batch jobs).. · Excellent Skills on Remedy Ticketing Tool.. · Knowledge of Basic network support , network printer, LAN printer and remote queue. * Thanks & Regards, Bhageerath| Sr. Resourcing Specialist SYSTEL INC.
