The City went live with ERP2005 ECC6.0, SRM 2005 and BI 7.0 in January 2007 and with BI IP in January 2008. In December 2009 the City implemented Business Objects XI 3.1. The City’s current SAP applications also include PI 7.0 and Enterprise Portal 7.0. The implemented modules include FI, CO, HR, MM, PM, PS, AA and Funds Management (FM). Some of the continuing implementation activities include Flexible Real Estate (RE-FX) and Public Sector Collection and Disbursements (PS-CD) modules. The City is looking for an experienced ABAP consultant to join its SAP Implementation Team. The Consultant will utilize technical knowledge, general business process acumen and experience to perform the work assignment. The Consultant will report to the ERP Program Manager, or a designate. *Technical Skills: * The candidate must possess the following skills: 1. Several years ABAP development experience, including module pools and interactive reporting. 2. Fluent in HR module specific ABAP development, including time and payroll clusters. 3. Fluent in ALV, BAdI, BAPI, BDC, IDoc, LSMW and RFC. 4. New ABAP enhancement framework (explicit and implicit enhancements in ECC 6.0) 5. Several years experience in working as part of SAP implementation projects. The following skills are desirable: 1. Experience with SAP SRM development. 2. Experience with AA, FM, PS-CD (or FS-CD) and/or RE-FX modules. 3. Experience with implementing Adobe interactive forms. 4. Experience with WebDynpro. 5. Experience with BDT. 6. Experience with other NetWeaver technologies like Portal, BI or PI. *Technical Responsibilities: * The candidate’s responsibilities will include: * * 1. Design, code, unit test, and document custom ABAP programs, or enhancements to custom or standard SAP programs, as per City’s requirements. 2. Work with City resources to determine priorities and assess the impact of development requests; provide work estimates based on past experience and knowledge, track to these estimates, and update Project Management when estimates do not match the actual effort required. 3. Participate in team workshops as necessary. 4. Write functional and technical documentation for all development work. 5. Investigate and apply OSS notes following the accepted City processes. 6. Assist with the assessment, analysis, planning, and development phases of upgrade projects. 7. Assist with the assessment, analysis, planning and development of third party tools. 8. Provide expertise in problem solving and trouble shooting activities. 9. Provide input to technical options and make recommendations. 10. Provide ongoing support to the production applications. 11. Provide off-hours production support of programs and systems as requested. 12. Participate in and provide mentoring to City ABAP staff who are involved in SAP sustainment. 13.
