*Duration:* 4-6 months** Greetings, Client is looking for 2 Unix Administrators with 7+ years of Linux and Solaris. The client needs someone experienced with MRTG, RRDtool or Cacti plus network or SAN switches, EMC Clariion arrays The position are in Pittsburgh, PA and Boston, MA. The positions are expected to last for 4-6 months. The start date is ASAP. Here is the description: *Title: Systems Administrator* * * *Skills: * *Preferred Experience is 5+ years of IT work experience with emphasis in unix systems administration. (Linux/ Solaris)* * * * * *Description:* *The job holder works among a team of systems administrators responsible for the installation, configuration, performance and maintenance of the client’s IT infrastructure. S/he participates in obtaining and/or defining requirements and designing, implementing and integrating solutions to meet requirements. S/he ensures adherence to corporate policies and department standards. Job holder must be: client focused; have strong verbal and written communication skills; able to manage multiple priorities, and; be able to investigate and resolve problems in a timely manner. * * * *Responsibilities:* *- Automation of tasks via shell and/or Perl scripting.* *- Configuration & Performance Management: Data collection, processing and reporting via 3rd Party and Open Source tools and shell/Perl scripts.* *- Hardware, Operating System and application installation, configuration and maintenance.* *- Document changes and maintain system administration documentation and standards.* * * *Qualifications:* *- Bachelor's degree or 5+ years equivalent work experience.* *- Must be strong in Korn/Borne Shell and/or Perl scripting.
