Incumbents are technical experts in* one or more areas of applications systems analysis and programming. * *May act as an expert in business or functional area*. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems. Responsible for program design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation. Has full technical knowledge of all phases of applications systems analysis and programming. Works companywide in multi-platform environments on multi-project assignments. Acts as a project work team/group leader. Errors may cause significant disruption to operations or major costs. Experience with Java core APIs and Swing GUI API.* Experience *with Object-Oriented development. Experience and comfort with using UNIX command-line interface (all flavors of UNIX – HPUX, Linux, Sun).* Knowledge *of source control basics* (some experience with newer-generation source change control tools – i.e. branching/merging/etc…).* COBOL knowledge a plus. * Excellent knowledge of *SQL – must be able to read, write, and debug Oracle SQL scripts. ** *Experience with *troubleshooting IT production issues* (analysis, debugging, etc…). Ability to work in a high-paced work environment and able to juggle multiple tasks at once.
