The understanding and use of complex UML plays a significant role in this position. Experience: Required: Minimum of 4 years Java development; Experience with enterprise web development in a J2EE environment including managing complex and various components; UML. Preferred: RAD (WSAD); SOAP or Apache Axis; JCA; JDBC; JMS/MQ; EJB and MDB; Portal; Portal Administration and Configuration; JUnit; Log4j; Ajax; Hibernate and Spring. Knowledge & Skills: Required: J2SE 1.5 or greater; J2EE 1.3 or greater; EJB 2.1; Web Services; XML; HTML; JSP/JSPF/Servlet; JavaScript; Struts; Tag Libraries; Custom Tag Libraries; J2EE patterns; Project dependencies. Preferred: Knowledge of the Portlet API (window states, modes, portlet sessions and requests, scopes); Portal Developer Toolkit including Portlet development with Struts; Websphere Application Server, Spring and Hibernate frameworks.
