This is an immediate need! ***************Senior Silverlight Developer*************************** I have an immediate need for Senior Silverlight Developer with the following Skills Set. Project Description: My client is searching for a Silverlight Developer to join the Portfolio Management Applications team. This team develops and enhances applications used by Fixed Income Portfolio Managers who manage $1 Trillion dollars of investors’ money allowing them to view their portfolios in ways that capture and show risk, both in absolute and relative to benchmarks. The applications take holdings information from Accounting systems and proprietary risk measures from in-house models and aggregates them for the PMs to see. This consultant will assist in the design, construction and enhancement of PUMA, a Silverlight container that manages the applications developed by the Silverlight development teams. They have created a standard framework for the application developers – when it is invoked it is from a PUMA portal, a window that has some standard tools and widgets. The goal of this project is to achieve a consistent look and feel for all of the applications in the container. This consultant may work on the PUMA container itself or they could also work on PUMA tools that go into the PUMA container, allowing Portfolio Managers to track account security. There are 10-12 tools that need to be built, each will take one or two months to build and they will go through each tool one by one. Consultant’s Day to day responsibilities: Build end-user screens for the PUMA container and the tools that go into that container Code Development in C# and .Net Web Services Inventory - Set up calls to web services to help build business applications Build software under fast-paced time frames while balancing reliability as well Biggest Technical Challenge the consultant will need to handle: The biggest technical challenge involves handling an extraordinary amount of data through Infragistics and GUI controls, while making the User Experience faster (in the context of a grid, 100,000 rows and 300 columns is a good qualification of an extraordinary amount of data).
