Sr. .Net Developer/Tools Engineer *Will hire over the phone* JOB DESCRIPTION: The Senior Software Tools Engineer is a highly experienced professional software developer with a focus on Microsoft technology. The Senior Software Tools Engineer brings a successful track record of delivering software, following through from conception to deployment, and is responsible for quality processes as they relate to the engineering portion of assigned projects. Required SKILLS (e.g., in order to be considered to perform this position, the person must be able to perform essential duties and responsibilities listed below): Responsible for the design and development of tools used by the software team for assigned projects to be integrated into our SOA architecture using .Net services. Implement new or changed software for assigned projects while working with the project team to provide specific solutions. Collaborate with the project team to identify, suggest, and improve engineering processes within the department and insure adherence through each area. Expected to offer collaborative support of all areas. Act as a mentor for other software engineers working within his/her specific technology sector. All other duties as assigned. Provide ongoing suggestions for improvement and innovation within the department. Must be able to handle conflict management and motivate others. Expert level experience/knowledge in C#, , .Net, and Visual Studio 2005 & 2010. Expert scripting skills – VBscript, PowerShell, batch, ant, etc… Experience in WCF, Web Service architecture and implementation. Administrative level understanding of Windows 2008, Windows 7, networking and file shares. Working knowledge of code review, software design, and Microsoft technologies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to work with minimum supervision, and be self-motivated. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience. Additional advanced engineering or computer science study preferred. 8+ years professional experience required. Experience with Scrum and Agile environment technologies a plus. Possess sound, methodical engineering judgment. Knowledge of building customized installers for multiple environment types, preferably with Installshield is a plus. Experience in SQL 2005 / 2008 preferred. Experience with DB development and deployment using Visual Studio is a plus. Knowledge of VB and VB.net preferred.
