JOB DESCRIPTION This position is responsible for architecture, design and development activities in support of enterprise data projects and initiatives. The infrastructure will include operational data stores (ODS), data warehousing, data mart, and data presentation facilities. This position must act as an advocate for data governance, standards, and best practices for data management. This position must understand relevant technologies, and have detailed knowledge of the best methods for constructing and supporting enterprise data repositories. RESPONSIBILITIES * Understand the business processes and be a domain resource for the data in the business systems. * Architect, Design and Develop all ETL components including data acquisition, cleansing, standardization, validation, staging and database persistence using IBM InfoSphere suite, especially InfoSphere Datastage and QualityStage. * Coordinate and provide specifications to remote ETL and DW developers. * Create application design and high-level design based on requirements. * Design and develop flexible and open-ended metadata repositories. * Create conceptual, logical and physical database models. * Create process and data lineage diagrams. * Generate data analysis and profiling for ETL design and development. * Create and maintain proper documentation according to standards.
