*Position: *Senior* *Web Focus Developer* * *Location: *Detroit, MI** *Duration: *6 Months** *BASIC PURPOSE OF THE POSITION* The Web FOCUS (Information Builders) developer is Responsible for developing/testing/training & rollout of reports & Dashboards at TK. Strong knowledge of FOCUS language, Dashboard reporting analytical & problem solving skills are needed for systems guidance. Knowledge of SAP BW 7.0 is preferred. Must have strong analysis & design skills, ability to translate user’s needs into solutions *DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES* The duties & responsibilities of Senior Web FOCUS developer include, but are not limited to, the following: • Developing reports using the Dev Studio IDE. • Configuring & maintaining the MRE & Dashboard • Designing Report Caster to schedule reports for delivery (ie. sftp, email, etc) • Ability to read, change & develop using FOCUS language • Knowledge on 3rd party Authentication/Authorization system • DB: Experience using stored procedures & writing ad-hoc queries with tuning knowledge • Reports: Experience developing complex reports in multiple currency environment • Experience in working in Global environment & knowledge on BW integration point. • Ensures system performance & capacity based on technical requirements • Proficiency in defining enterprise wide standards • Effective oral & written communication skills. • Effectively resolves incidents by conducting a thorough analysis of the problems & employing appropriate debugging techniques & aids to resolve the problems. • Promotes uniformity of the configuration by contributing to & adhering to the IT Department’s Standards & Guidelines manual.... • Contributes to the overall success of the IT Department by performing all other duties as assigned by the manager. • Ability to work independently under limited supervision or in a team environment • Effectively communicate projects to the Manager to avoid scheduling conflicts • Ability to communicate technical as well as non-technical material to others *ROLES* • Confers with management & users personnel to ascertain specific design requirements. • Conducts configuration & design studies & prepares concept & design specifications. • Provides direction & guidance to other members of the team. • Analyzes problems & prepares functional work flow diagrams • Evaluates improvements & possible modifications of existing systems upon request. • Tests & implements all completed configuration • Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, & work cooperatively & jointly to provide quality seamless customer service. • To develop new configuration &/or maintain or modified existing configuration. • Understand & Improve business processes *EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE* • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Computer Science or Engineering from four-year College or university. • Five years related technical experience &/or training.
