Position: CITRIX XenApp /LAN Admin Expert

Location: Boston, MA

Duration: 6 months



SUMMARY:

   - Monitors and responds to most complex technical control facility
   hardware and software problems utilizing all hardware and software testing
   tools and techniques.
   - Primary interface with vendor support service groups or provides
   internal analysis and support to ensure proper escalation during outages or
   periods of degraded system performance.
   - Provides technical leadership to and monitors and coordinates the work
   of the lower level LAN Administrators.
   - Consults on design and configuration issues, including topology,
   operating systems, and integration issues.
   - Evaluates new technologies and analyzes integration issues with other
   systems and technologies in and out of business area.
   - Develops vendor evaluation policies and procedures.
   - Having 6+ years experience.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
Function as a Security Consultant: Consult on existing infrastructure and
software configuration to ensure proper setup, application of patches, and
security policy compliance. Participate on the Security Information
Management team to evaluate security advisories for their impact. Review
security designs and impact on new Windows products, operating systems, and
software implementations. Consult applications managers and developers on
best practices for secure Windows programming in the current Microsoft
development frameworks.

·         Lead the effort to secure and improve controls on our Windows
computing infrastructure, Wintel security operations, and Windows
applications security integration.

·         Architect Microsoft infrastructure into our overall IT Security
strategy and mission.

·         Assume the leadership role for Windows security architecture,
implementation, and design.

·         Research, analysis and leadership on IT Security industry trends,
standards, best practices and concepts on large projects.

·         Provide support and guidance in the area of Windows and general
security architecture design, operations management, policy development and
project management.

·         Serve as a security technical analyst, coordinator and advisor on
projects to evaluate new technology and installation of new policies,
procedures or enhancements to current security platforms.


Perform as Citrix XenApp Administrator - Provide level 3 support. Assist in
the support of Citrix and Web based applications. Plan and implement global
mandated hot fixes and patches. Monitor and troubleshoot Windows 2000/2003
servers. Assist in the design, development and implementation of tools for
automating team tasks. Plan, test, and configure applications moving from
client side to Citrix Servers. Assist in making recommendations to the
project teams for the appropriate sizing and scalability for their Citrix
application farms. Make appropriate documentation of servers and processes.
Ensure 99.99% reliability of Citrix Server components in Production
environment.



REQUIRED/MUST HAVE SKILLS:

·         Experience with Active Directory, Exchange, Outlook, IIS

·         In-depth knowledge of Citrix XenApp including maintenance,
administration and troubleshooting.

·         Experience with large-scale environments containing multiple farms
with many servers.

·         Experience with the Citrix Web Interface product.

·         Working knowledge of Application and Desktop publishing through
ICA and RDP.

·         2+ years of WTS/Citrix experience.



PLUS:

o        Extensive knowledge of common Windows vulnerabilities and
remediation (e.g., service packs, patches).

o        Extensive knowledge of Windows 2003/2008 platforms including
detailed understanding of internals.

o        Knowledge of networks and network topologies (TCP/IP) and applied
experience.

o        Knowledge of security management including group policy objects.

o        Knowledge of Windows specific protocols (e.g., Netbios, DCOM, RPC,
WINS).

o        Working knowledge of load-balancing and content switching.
