Access Rights, Roles and DBC.AccessRights table maintenance: a. Understand Teradata's implementation of explicit, implicit and inherited access rights and LexisNexis use of these different rights. b. Understand the implementation of Roles at LexisNexis. c. Role creation, consolidate access rights within Roles and reduce redundant access rights. d. Maintain DBC.AccessRights view to reduce size of table to enhance system performance. E. Annual transfer of yearly data to BIS_HIST: a. Annually, after March of each year, the oldest year of data in several tables are transferred to corresponding '_HIST' tables in BIS_HIST database. b. PPI values may need to be changed c. Multi-value compression values may need to be changed F. Statistics Management a. Good statistics collection practices are vital to system performance. b. DBQL and Profiles: a. Demonstrate how to create and maintain DBQL parameters and Profiles and Understand the relationship between them b.
