** *Please forward resumes to manoj.patl...@techstratinc.com * * * *Title: Ab Initio Developer* *Location: Charlotte, NC* *Duration: 6-12+ Months * *Responsibilities: * This role is responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and enhancement of ETL applications. This position will also provide trouble shooting and client relations. This position is a member of the Healthcare Informatics IT team in collaboration with the Manager of Application Development; Quality Assurance team; the Product Management team; the Data Warehouse team; the Solutions Center and other IT stakeholders to ensure that the applications development projects meet the required deliverables. This position provides solutions to resolve product and customer issues. Daily responsibilities would include: • Development of the extraction, transformation and load processes (ETL). • Analysis and definition of data flow requirements. • Interpretation of the transformation rules for all target data objects. • Development of the software components to support the transformation of data. • Documentation of technical specifications. • Preparation and implementation of data verification and testing methods. • Performance and tuning of ETL processes and preparation of business and technical documentation. • Create a test repository (per best practices). • Design and build graphs. • Correctly use both API and Utility modes of the output table component. • Migrate ETL programs to QA and production. • Research and stay abreast of technology trends. Education and Experience Required • A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) required • Computer Science or related discipline • 3-5 years relevant experience • Minimum of 3 years of IT applications development experience. • 1 to 3 years in development utilizing Ab Initio tools for full lifecycle terabyte class Data Warehouse projects. • Development experience in a UNIX environment (HPUX, Solaris, AIX, Linux). • Experience with one or more of the major database engines (Oracle, DB/2, Red Brick, Netezza, or Teradata).
