This individual will be responsible for creating new features and enhancing existing functionality. This individual will be involved in development activities throughout the product life cycle. Agile experience combined with proficiency in C++ Development will combine to produce superior on-time, on-budget, and on-specification results. The ability to understand the dynamics of business processes and convert business requirements into outstanding software product design and delivery will contribute directly to MedAssets success in the marketplace. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: * Responsible for developing of new features and enhancements of existing functionality * Facilitates effective team interaction and appreciates each team members' contributions. * Communicates effectively with team members and project leadership to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions. * Communicates and enforces coding standards. * Continually seeks opportunities to increase product quality and customer satisfaction. Minimum Knowledge, Competencies & Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree in MIS, IT, Computer Science or related field. Equivalent technical experience may be substituted for educational requirement * 5 to 8+ years experience in software development * Demonstrates expert knowledge of C++, preferably Visual C++ * Experience with C# preferred * Experience with SQL Server including stored procedures, funcitons, views, and triggers. * Understands complex relational database concepts and strategies. * Familiar with and eager to work in an Agile environment. * Creates well designed, reusable objects through mastery of object-oriented practices and design patterns. * Consistently designs and codes superior technical solutions. * Communicates effectively with team members and project leadership to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions.
