Job Title: SQL DBA Location: Los Angeles, CA (NEED LOCAL ONLY) Duration: 12+ Months Job Description: SQL DBA will have hands-on responsibilities in database administration, production/operational as well as development. Implement, configure, and troubleshoot database instances, replication, backup, partitions, storage, and access. Monitor and optimize system performance using index tuning, disk optimization, and other methods. Set user privileges within the database environment. Skills sought At least 5+ years Microsoft SQL Server in a DBA role Experience with SQL Server 2000 and 2005. 2008 Microsoft Cluster and Replication experience Experience working in a 24x7 environment-will be on call for a week (rotation between 2-3 people) Must possess excellent communication skills for team projects and client communication. Strong analytical skills for problem resolution, database and SQL performance tuning and backups.
