*Job Title : SQL DBA* *Location : Las Vegas, NV* *Duration : 6- 9 Months+ Contract * Position will function as a Database Administrator for design, development, testing, and deployment of a database for a major justice application. Duties will include: Learn the requirements of the application and system architecture Develop a data migration plan and migrate legacy data to the new database Participate in the development of the data requirements for the application design specifications. Develop an entity relationship diagram to depict a conceptual model of the system Develop a logical and physical database design Develop and maintain database documentation Manage and control access permissions and privileges Develop and test back-up and recovery plans Ensure storage, archiving, back-up and recovery procedures are functioning correctly Monitor performance and tune the database Work closely and communicate with project team members to achieve project goals Demonstrate professional organization, documentation, communication and interpersonal skills Attend meetings, maintain and communicate accurate status of work performed Maintain current knowledge of technology Special Skills: Knowledge and experience with MS SQL Server 2008r2 database planning, design, migration, and implementation, and performance management Demonstrates proficiencies in MS SQL Server 2008r2 Server Integration Services (SSIS) Demonstrates proficiencies in MS SQL Server 2008r2 Server databases administration and maintenance plans Demonstrates proficiencies in MS SQL Server 2008r2 Reporting Services (SSRS) MS SQL Server 2008r2 Database Administration, Backup and Recovery MS Windows 2008r2 and Microsoft Clustering Services (MSCS) Knowledge and experience in project development, application analysis, design, programming, testing and installation Experience with major projects and working with multiple agencies Must have five (5) or more years of database management experience Experience and skill with Microsoft .NET, SQL Server and database management tools Experience with MS Visual Studio and MS Team Foundation Server Knowledge and experience with the operation of personal computers, standard office software, programming, and testing tools required.
