Job Title:- Oracle Applications Developer, * *Location:- Herndon,VA* *Role Summary* The Oracle Applications Developer will be a key member of the Oracle Applications Solutions team responsible for on-going support and enhancements to Oracle Applications. In this role the resource will integrate and develop processes , including requirement gathering, design, development, testing and on-going maintenance that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within area of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy. *Responsibilities* Ø Support and maintain Oracle E business Suite and provide on-site and on-call Production support, in order to resolve application issues in a timely manner. Ø Provide day to day support and troubleshooting of Oracle Applications. Ø Perform functional and technical support for oracle application issues - logging, tracking and escalating issues in accordance with procedures. Ø Perform Oracle configuration, setup, data load activities to support issue resolution Ø Create Ad hoc query and reporting to support issue resolution Ø Interface with Oracle Support and external software vendors for product issue troubleshooting and resolution Ø Adhere to defined support policies, procedures and service levels Ø Resolve support issues, with a focus on route cause analysis to reduce recurring issues Ø Creation and validation of new user accounts Ø Ensure compliance with standard security practices by enforcing security framework (user creation, responsibilities, operating unit access, organization access, ledger security rules) implemented for Oracle applications. Ø Develop and enhance Oracle user interfaces using OAF and ADF technologies. Ø Enhance Oracle applications and develop new reports, maintain existing Ø Interfaces to meet the growing business requirements. Ø Develop and maintain application customization, personalization extension, integration between Ø other systems. Ø This role will also include gathering business requirements, performing analysis and writing clear and articulate documentation. Ø Assist in upgrade, enhancement configuration and testing activities as needed. Writing and reviewing QA and UAT test scripts. Managing UAT with end users including co-ordination and user acceptance sign-off Ø Creation and modification of reports to support business needs. Ø Maintain and enhance existing Oracle web services between Oracle and other systems. Ø Develops BPEL 2.0 composites and ADF pages using Oracle JDeveloper 11g Ø Develops web services using XML and Java technologies Ø Provide application/​process subject matter expertise as needed and provide levels of effort for each enhancement. Ø Develop Customizations, personalization's and other system modification to support business needs and document Process flows and system changes. Ø Work as a business partner with client leaders and users to evaluate / improve business processes and arrive at mutual, cost effective solutions Ø Gather and track business and functional requirements for new requests / changes, define project scope, create detailed functional specifications,provide impact assessments, identify gaps, evaluate change requests, work with development teams to provide deliverables to standard or customized functionality. Ø Assist in discussions about integration with other systems, applications and standards. Ø Evaluate Oracle application patch levels and provide recommendations on system upgrades. Ø Assist with Audit request by providing requested information to internal and external auditors. Ø Serves as a Functional and Technical lead for new implementation projects managing functional configuration, Development and implementation deliverables Ø Lead the analysis, requirement development, design, documentation, implementation and maintenance of new projects. Ø Prepare and present project plans, status reports, cost / benefit studies and recommend funding and resources Ø Coordinate multiple priorities and demonstrate initiative in starting and completing projects Ø Provide training to new staff as necessary Ø Provide Oracle training to new users. Ø Develop, maintain and update user training Documents *Qualifications/Minimum Requirements* Ø A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related fields. Ø A minimum of four years of professional work experience in software development, information system engineering and application production support environments in an Oracle environment. *Knowledge or Proficiency Areas preferred* Ø 4 yrs. + experience providing Support, Design and Development for Enterprise Oracle Applications. Ø Experience building User interfaces with ADF and OAF Framework and should have a good understanding of SOA principles and methodologies Ø Experience in at least 1 full life-cycle project using Oracle Fusion/SOA 11g suite of products (e.g. Oracle BPEL, Mediator, OSB) to integrate the Oracle eBusiness suite with other systems Ø Experienced in managing and maintaining Development, Test, and Production environments of Oracle SOA 11g suite Ø Excellent understanding of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) with the middleware technologies and using Oracle AS and BPEL PM for application integration Ø Very good experience with Web Services, XML, XSL, XSLT, XPATH, XQuery, WSDL, Java. Ø In depth knowledge of the Oracle Application schema· Ø Proficiency with tools used to support Oracle Applications development including, but not limited to, PL/SQL, SQL*Plus, Forms, Reports, Workflow, XML Publisher. Ø Knowledge and experience with Open Interfaces and APIs.
