Sr. Mainframe Programmer
Location:  Seattle, WA
Start Date:  ASAP
Duration:  6+ months

Notes from manager:
Needs to be a programmer/coder and not a Project Manager type. Must be
currently doing extensive programming/coding.
Needs to be DB2 expert.
MUST have solid experience with SQL Server.
Cross platform experience/integration is nice.
SDLC ADABAS experience.
Financial or Banking experience is nice.

Senior Mainframe Developer
The successful candidate will have proven experience of structured design
work, of taking ownership of technical decisions and be able to demonstrate
the ability to create innovative technical solutions.
You will work closely with other development and support consultant
providing technical guidance and assurance. You will liaison with
colleagues in different locations, agreeing on technical approach with them
and taking responsibility for the technical quality of work delivered.
• Extensive experience writing mainframe application software, with an
emphasis on interfaces to non-mainframe platforms, including experience
with CICS, DB2, and VSAM.
• Excellent analysis and design skills and needs to be able to translate
business requirements into technical design.
• Self-starter and able to operate with minimal supervision and mentoring
• Independent problem solver
• Financial services and banking experience is a plus, but not required.

Strong Analytical skills.
Ability to transform business requirements into technical requirements and
design and implement a solution.
Ability to manage multiple tasks.
Excellent English oral and written communication skill.
7 to 8 years Mainframe experience.
