Our client will hire off of a Skype interview!! Position description: 15 of our remote locations domestically are currently running MS SQL 2000. This position will be responsible to lead the parallel build and transition over to MS SQL 2008R2 at these locations along with 3-5 hours a week of general SQL support. 1. Evaluate a small remote site, devise a high level approach and present to SFI. a. Incorporate environment health (e.g. security, standards) in evaluation. b. Incorporate DTS package upgrade requirements c. incorporate strategy to implement SQL best practices. d. Review and analyze SQL functionality used by application e. Conduct current process overview with IT/business to review key pain points/challenges and critical requirements f. Understand and review Infrastructure requirements g. Prepare a high level SQL server upgrade approach, plan document h. Draft a charter i. Execute plan j. Expectation is to lead this project, schedule meetings with the proper groups and shepherd this project through start to finish.
