Job Title : Business Analyst Location : Irvine, CA Duration : 1 Year *Mode of Interview : Phone + Skype* *USC, GC , EAD GC only* Experience with reporting tools - advanced SQL usage and Data warehouse experience. wireless rating and billing technology Analysis and Operational Responsibilities • Perform ongoing audits of usage and/or subscriber profile variances; identify discrepancies, determine action, prioritize workload and correct or designate correction in a timely manner according to revenue assurance business requirements. • Analyze bill cycle reports and data to trend usage and charges by customer and investigate variances. Works with account management team to provide bill cycle approval. • Perform ad-hoc research into root causes of material spikes or identified issues. Ability to think out of the box and analyze complex record structures, looking for commonalities. Most often issue resolution requires an understanding of call routing and subscriber profile routing. • Ability to work with large volumes of data in various formats to identify anomalies • Identify relevant information and creates ad hoc reporting as needed • Proactively works with business partners and IT resources to address findings from analysis • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify functionality gaps and develop detailed technical solutions and requirements to resolve discrepancies. Evaluate technical explanations and ensure resolution • Knowledge and proficiency in interpreting pricing components and contractual agreements • Creates process flow diagrams, document processes or update existing documentation when system enhancements impact Revenue Assurance procedures. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or Information Technology preferred. This position is very technical and requires an in-depth knowledge of wireless rating and billing technology, as well an understanding of how network transactions are processed. It requires in-depth analytical skills, ability to manage multiple issues and projects simultaneously and negotiate conflicts across multiple cross-functional teams. Minimum two years of extensive experience with demonstrated technical expertise with wireless billing and rating. Experience with wireless switching, rating, billing and order entry systems required. Proven technical skills, especially detailed understanding of wireless billing applications, as well as interfacing systems. Experience with reporting tools –advanced SQL usage and Data warehouse, like Teradata. Strong analytical problem solving and decision-making skills required. Demonstrated organizational, facilitation, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to work independently on multiple assignments with exceptional attention to detail required.
