*Role: Jr .**NET Developer* *Location:* Albany, NY *Duration:* 12 Months *Rate:* $47/hr on C2C *Description:* 5+ years of recent, professional development experience using Microsoft Visual Studio, C#, and the .NET framework v3.5+. Ability to work productively in a team environment. Familiarity with team development, including code sharing, code reviews, source control, and continuous integration. Experience developing optimized, enterprise-level applications with emphasis on performance and scalability. Experience writing and debugging code for complex, multi-threaded applications. Candidates possessing a stronger focus on application development and client-server applications in preference to web-based applications in ASP.NET. Candidate possesses a strong, working knowledge of object oriented development principles. Understanding of Unicode and other character encodings. Understanding of application interoperability principles, including client-server networking, direct implementation of TCP/IP-based network communication, and a working knowledge of the HTTP protocol. Development of unit tests for complete code coverage. Experience with XML, including schema-creation and validation. *Preferences:* Experience working with or developing for search engines and / or understanding the principles of text indexing, search and retrieval in enterprise applications. Experience working with lower-level data structures such as expression trees and sets. Experience developing applications in C/C++ on any platform. Experience with Winforms development. Experience with Team Foundation Server and related development workflow. Experience with WCF. Windows Server 2012 administration experience. Familiarity with T-SQL, PL-SQL and relational databases.
