*Job Title: QA Analyst * *Location: Jamaica, Queens, NYC* *Duration: 6+ Months * *(in-person interview, local candidates)* * * *Send me your resume @ r...@cncconsulting.com, * SCOPE OF SERVICES INTRODUCTION The LIRR is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst to assist the Information Technology Department in developing the skills to develop test scripts to execute stress tests and regression tests in HP Load Runner. To learn the Load Runner scripting skills the analyst, along with LIRR employees will use our web-based Corporate Asset Management System - Fleet Support (CAMS-FS) and other applications as test beds for developing the scripts. HP LoadRunner is an automated performance and test automation product from Hewlett-Packard for examining system behavior and performance, while generating actual load. HP LoadRunner can simulate a predetermined number of concurrent users to stress test the application based on real¬ life user loads, while collecting information from key infrastructure components (Web servers, database servers etc.). The results can then be analyzed in detail, to identify potential configuration modifications to optimize response time and server performance. SPECIFIC NEEDS General needs are indicated above. Specifically, the Consultants should have the following experience: Specific knowledge of HP Load Runner Developing Test Scripts for Web-based application performance and stress testing Execute LoadRunner ,issue performance reports, make recommendations WORK DESCRIPTION Described below are the tasks to be performed by the Consultant. They are: Task 1-CAMS-FS -Stress Test Identify and develop the necessary test scripts needed to successfully perform a stress test on the CAMS-FS application. The consultant will review the current configuration with MTA-Long Island Rail Road Information Technology resources. Execute the stress test, simulating a pre determined number of users and locations. The results will be analyzed and CAMS-FS configuration modified if necessary. Subsequent retests may be needed to determine the optimal configuration. Task 2-CAMS-FS - Regression Test Assessment The consultant shall review the current documented CAMS-FS test cases. The goal is to provide a report identifying the feasibility of automating all or a subset of these test cases. The report shall provide an estimate of the resources needed to maintain the automated test scripts as the version of the application evolves. Task 3-CAMS-FS - Regression Test Based on the findings from Task 2, develop the test scripts needed to perform a regression test for the CAMS-FS application. DELIVERABLE END ITEMS The Consultant shall deliver to the assigned PM, the following documentation: Weekly status reports, specifying project progress, plans, risks etc. and the consultants daily hours worked (a template will be provided). All developed test scripts and supporting documentation. Regression test assessment report, identifying a feasible plan for creating and maintaining test scripts for the CAMS-FS application's current and future versions. The plan shall provide an assessment as to the estimated man-hours needed to maintain the regression test scripts.
