Title: Integration Engineer, Content on Demand, Product Engineering Location: Downingtown, PA Duration:6+Months (Min) Interview Type : Phone + in person Integration Engineer. Details are below. must be local, have cable/telecomm experience and able to interview . Thanks! Job Responsibilities: - Lead integration, test and support of system level features for delivery of video on demand content over cable and Internet. - Coordinate with Vendors, PE team, and QA on Integration plans, results, and readiness of solution to move to QA or to production staging. - Develop and maintain integration Architectures. - Guide Downingtown lab-ops and submit necessary internal lab tickets to install and network new and updated equipment. - Assist internal and 3rd party vendors in the interpretation of designs to enable the development of software and hardware solutions. - Work with Test and Field Engineering teams to ensure products are deployable, and able to be operated with minimal impacts to customers, and operating expenses. Minimum requirements: - 8 years experience in design and development of software and hardware solutions including knowledge of all entire development lifecycle from requirements and design, to implementation, validation and support. - 2 years of design and development of video technologies and systems. Video On Demand experience desired. - Ideal candidate will have worked 1 or more years in a “triple-play” (voice/video/data) environment. - Bachelors in Engineering required. Masters in Engineering desired. Relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of educational experience. - Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills. Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences. - Ability to develop and effectively communicate technical design alternative alternatives to all organizational levels, including Executive level management. - Familiar with industry standard practices, interfaces, Operating Systems, and protocols such as: OCAP, DOCSIS, DSG, DSM-CC, ISA, RTSP, SQL, HTTP, XML, Java, TCP/IP, SQL, SOAP, Solaris, Linux, Windows 2003, Python, MPEG 2 and 4, Windows media streaming, Real streaming, Flash, IGMP, SNMP - Strong networking skills.
