Position:Java Developer (Rest) Location:Los Angeles, CA Duration:3 month contract Responsibilities: Design, develop and implement REST services for Spring Application Participates in setting the architectural direction for software enhancements Strong knowledge of modern design patterns and architectural paradigms. Create stored procedures for SQL Server 2012 Backend Develop services with Spring and Spring-Security frameworks Document design per technical standard Minimum Requirements: 5+ years of experience in Java development for large-scale enterprise systems. Deep understanding of REST and usage of XML/JSON. Working knowledge of Source Control environments such as CVS. Working knowledge of build tools such as Maven, Ant/Ant Hill Pro and Hudson. Solid database skills including table creation and design and the ability to create efficient queries, SQL functions, procedures, and triggers. Application Servers administrative experience (WebSphere). Total comfort with light-weight and/or Agile development methodologies Highly Desired Experience with JVM tuning, high availability, scalability, and right sizing applications. Database administration Knowledge: Performance tuning, High Availability, Capacity Planning, Data modeling (SQL, PL SQL, DDL, Stored Procedures, Triggers, DB Links), Data replication, Imports, Exports, Database Security, Monitoring, Managing multiple database. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
