Title: Senior Front End Developer Duration: 6+Months Location: Chicago, IL Contract Job Responsibilities: Must have *8+ years*’ of software development experience required; Minimum of 3+ years’ of JavaScript Development required; BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience; Expertise in developing with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and libraries like jQuery, Backbone.js, less.js; Ability to develop excellent User Experience (UX) and User Interfaces (UI) across multiple browsers and multiple mobile devices (phone, tablet, laptop); Proficiency developing asynchronous Ajax interfaces with Ajax libraries and frameworks; A fundamental understanding of object-oriented design and programming (OOD/OOP); Familiarity with and the ability to apply Design Patterns; Understanding of web services technologies, such as HTTP, REST, WSDL, and XSD; Responsive Design experience; Should have good experience using SCM tools (preferably Git or another distributed system); Experience with the entire software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, deployment, testing and maintenance. Desirable Skills & Experience: JavaScript testing frameworks like Jasmine or Mocha; Single page JavaScript application development; Java, J2EE, JSP, Servlets, Spring; Fluid and responsive design techniques; Continuous build and integration environments; iOS and Android mobile development; Video and/or audio streaming and playback; Consumer product development; Flash application development; Dynamic languages, such as Ruby, Python, Groovy or PHP; Native application development for Windows, OS X, Linux, iOS, and/or Android; Experience and/or interest in the Airline and/or Telecommunications industries.
